Boys JV Football

This will be Coach Mlazgar's 3rd year at ALA.  Before this, he spent the last 31 years in public school education, mostly in the Mt. View area of Mesa.  He retired 3 years ago from public education and came to ALA because he believes ALA is doing things right.  He has a wife, Kim, and six children.  The youngest, Tyler is a student here at ALA and Ashley graduated 3 years ago.  He is also the head coach for JV football and JV baseball here at ALA.  In addition to the 31 years of teaching and coaching football and mostly baseball in public school, he spent 2 years as a graduate assistant coaching defensive backs at ASU.  He also has 14 years of coaching High School level competitive club swim, four years of high school softball, is an NSCA certified strength and conditioning coach, and spent 4 summers at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado, 2 for swim training and 2 for strength and speed training. He has also spent 15 years running camps in speed training in Mesa. And, with 6 children, countless years in little league, youth football, youth swim, and soccer.  He feels that high school sports are meant to help the person in developing maturity, work-ethic, perseverance, confidence, and like dance and music, many other facets of discipline and he always keeps in mind that 95% of the students who play high school sports will never play above that level, but the memories, experiences, friendships, and things they learn and carry with them from high school sports will last a lifetime.
